Description
The 1 euro cent coin of Italy is a small, circular coin made of copper-plated steel. On the obverse side, it features the denomination, "1 CENTESIMO" and the European Union's 12-star circle symbol. On the reverse side, it features Castel del Monte. The coin is legal tender in Italy but due to the small value is rarely used in transactions. Since 2018 it is only minted for collectors.
